While your dog is with us, they’re part of our family

There is a special bond between dogs and pet owners. Dogs become a huge part of our lives and we love to take care of them. I know that your dog is part of your family and while they stay with us, they become part of our family too.

Located in a detached house on the riverfront in South East Vancouver, I provide the very best in home-away-from-home dog boarding, exclusively for small breeds. I am home full time which means your pet has company all day!

I specialize in small dogs, no bigger than 15lb. Small dogs tend to relax and socialise better with others the same size.

During the stay, you'll be kept up to date with updates and photos of what they've been doing, how they're eating, sleeping and playing. That way you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing that they're having fun too!

Before booking

Prior to the booking, we set up a Meet and Greet in my home. It will take about 30 minutes. You'll see where your dog would be staying and I can meet and learn about them

Introductions to my own dog and any other guests staying will be done once your dog comes to stay and is done on neutral territory while we're out on a walk.

While you're away...

We'll be going on several walks a day, usually to the local park along the river trails, sometimes the golf-course trails or further, depending on the weather and your dog's energy. Walks are normally between 20 minutes to 1 hour.

They will have access to the backyard/patio all day and free range around the house. They want to lay out in the sun? great! Winter time by the fireplace? awesome!

At night time, they'll sleep wherever they feel comfortable. If they have their own bed, it's placed next to mine, but if they prefer the couch or the end of my bed, they're welcome!

You'll be sent photos and an update at least once a day. If at any time you’d like more (or less!) updates than I’m sending, please let me know!

Pictures and updates are sent via text message, email or Messenger. Let us know your preferred way to receive them.

"Helen was such an amazing dog sitter. We are always anxious leaving Lily but Helen had lots of updates and her and her family treated Lily like one of her own. This means we can now actually look forward to going away as we know Lily will be well taken care of. Thank you Helen"
