During their stay, your dog truly becomes part of my family
There’s a special bond between dogs and their people. They become such an important part of our lives, and caring for them is a privilege. I understand that your dog is family—and while they’re here, they become part of my family too.
Located in a detached house on the riverfront in South East Vancouver, I provide the very best in home-away-from-home dog boarding, exclusively for small breeds. Caring for dogs is my full-time profession, so your pup has companionship and supervision all day long.
I specialize in small dogs up to 15 lb. Little dogs are often more comfortable and relaxed when they can socialize with others their own size, creating a calm, happy environment for everyone.
During their stay, you’ll receive regular updates and photos showing how they’re eating, sleeping, and playing. You can relax and enjoy your time away knowing they’re happy, comfortable, and having fun too!

Before booking
Before the booking, we'll set up a Meet and Greet in my home. It will take about 30 minutes. This is a great opportunity for you to see where your dog will be staying, and for me to get to know your dog better. We may meet other guests during that time
At the start of the stay, introductions to any other guests staying will be done on neutral territory, usually on a walk to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition.
While you're away...
We go on several walks each day—usually to the local park along the river trails. Depending on the weather and your dog’s energy level, walks typically range from 20 minutes up to an hour.
Your dog will have access to the backyard/patio throughout the day and can roam freely around the house. Want to sunbathe outside? Perfect. Prefer to curl up by the fireplace in the winter? Even better!
At night, they sleep wherever they’re most comfortable. If they have their own bed, I’ll place it beside mine, but if they’d rather snooze on the end of my bed, that’s totally fine.
You’ll receive photos and an update at least once a day. If you’d like more—or fewer—updates, just let me know.
Pictures and updates are sent via text message, email or Messenger. Let me know your preferred way to receive them.

"Helen was such an amazing dog sitter. We are always anxious leaving Lily but Helen had lots of updates and her and her family treated Lily like one of her own. This means we can now actually look forward to going away as we know Lily will be well taken care of. Thank you Helen"
